Beneath the Black and White we stand…
The Pink Clash Strip
In 2023 we introduced a clash strip for the first time: A white jumper with bright pink vertical stripes instead of black, and pink numbers on the back. We don the pink kit for away games where our standard colours clash with the home team.
Why Pink?
In 2022 our senior men's side qualified for the Division 2 VAFA grand final against Ivanhoe - in their near identical black and white vertical stripes. As the away team we took to the field in one of the VAFA clash kits. We’d donned the VAFA pink clash kit a lot of times throughout the season, and we wore is again on Grand Final Day.
The club rallied in the week leading up to the game to pull together the standard black and white for the ressies game, and be ready to change into a sea of pink come 2.00pm as the seniors took to the field - homemade signs and all. While it wasn't our day on the field, the pink became something the club could get around. Now we’ve got a pink kit of our very own.
